I made a list of requirements and optional things:

required;
A/C
automatic transmission
lots of safety features
good fuel economy (like minimum 5 litres per 100 km road)
heated front seats
ipod plug
lots of cargo (hatchback)

optional:
ambient lighting,
keyless entry/start (push-button)
GPS and things with 10 inch screens

thanks for your help. it means a lot!

oh and btw, due to bad past experiences, no:

Toyota
Honda
Volkswagen
Kia
Chevy

Not sure if all those things go hand in hand but I would have to agree WITH you that our media and many young people are on the negative right now and maybe for good reason! Our economy is not good – inflation and unemployment is high and pay is low- that was the what helped to fuel the holocaust!
We need to have a leadership that encourages patriotism instead of fighting between the wealthy and the poor! There will always be poor people- that is just the way our society is set up! but when you keep them angry- the embers stay hot and it sets up for disaster!
