Lever Binder
A lever binder is a chain tensioning device tightened with a lever action.
Plain-English Meaning
Lever binders can apply high force quickly, so carrier procedure and safe handling matter. The binder should match the chain, hooks, anchor points, and load-control plan.
The lever handle stores force. Release and rebound risks should be managed through company procedure and proper body position.
A lever binder with bent parts, worn hooks, or unclear rating should be treated as questionable equipment before it is counted.
